ICTP and World Tourism Forum Lucern reaffirm collaboration

HAWAII, USA; BRUSSELS, Belgium; VICTORIA, Seychelles; BALI, Indonesia – The International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) and World Tourism Forum Lucerne re-affirmed their collaboration at the ITB Travel Trade Show last week in Berlin,
Germany, with a focus on Green Growth.

ICTP President Geoffrey Lipman met with the General Manager of the Forum, Martin Barth, to discuss ways in which they could extend their shared interest in the Green Growth transformation of the sector.

They discussed the new World Tourism Forum “Think Tank” that Lipman will chair, and met with Marthinus Van Schalkwyk, Tourism Minister of South Africa, and Dr. Michael Frenzel, Chairman of TUI Travel PLC.

Dr. Frenzel will deliver a keynote paper on “Hyper-connectivity,” and Minister Van Schalkwyk on “Bridging the Silos,” to help explore new directions for the industry.

Twenty thought leaders from the travel and tourism sector will meet on April 16 and 17, along with leading young social entrepreneurs, to consider strategic change drivers.
